Let us remember: We are not living on Earth, we are temporarily of it.
The Earth doesn’t need humans.
We cannot fix Her, nor will we determine Her course. With and without humanity, our Earth has and will continue, perfectly – eventually fading into everything, as all things do.
What we take from Earth is taken from all that lives. What we give is life-sustaining.
There’s no separation of life.
We’re in union with all living things. As surely as Life wants to live, conditions on Earth will naturally eliminate what would destroy it. The Earth has natural protections against what would harm it, even against Human Beings.
Though we (currently) have an overwhelming impact on our Earth’s environment, we’re no more special or important than any other form of life. As we destroy Earthly resources (like trees, bodies of water, and other living creatures), we weaken our Earth’s immunity. As always, what is collectively extended will be directly experienced by all that lives. There is no separation among the living.
Cause and Effect: The laws of Nature that govern Earth life
We receive what we give.
Human desires and demands have forced other animals out of their natural habitats. Like you, they have to eat (because life wants to live). As we obliterate sources of sustenance, other creatures are forced to feed on crops grown for human consumption. They’ve no choice but to move into areas we humans *think* belong to us.
As we kill and repress ecosystems, we throw many other systems off balance.
The forced relocation of creatures enables the passing of organisms new to human bodies and circumstances that pose challenges to Humanity. These organisms aren’t bad or evil. They have no intention; they simply exist as we do. They’re biologically engineered to live, as we are.
The Earth doesn’t need what would harm it to exist, but we need Earth to live.
No living thing flourishes with infection, including the living organism we’re made of and live as (Earth). Consequently, as humans cause Earthly imbalances, naturally occurring events will eliminate threats we impose on life on Earth. Just as bodies have natural mechanisms to fight infection, so does Earth. She doesn’t need humans to exist. We need Her.
Time is brief, and life is so curiously sweet. Why not relax into and relish in this time of being, EARTHling? This is how we’re naturally wired to be and the least we can offer in honoring this life that’s been given to us to live.
